Farm School
This hands-on approach to “farm-to-table” focuses on learning while having fun! Hand-pick ripe produce from the garden or our customized farmers’ market; learn to milk a cow, a goat and how these milks are used to make hand-crafted cheeses; sausage-making, dry rubs and four ways of smoking meats. This is a delicious 4-5 hour program for all ages!
Equestrian Adventures
Start with a quick “class” on horses with some facts you may not know. Head to the arena for a thoroughbred demonstration of gaming, barrel racing, pole racing, roping and more. Our local horse veterinarian will be on hand to answer questions. Finish the outing with a hayride behind the Clydsedales on the way to a chow line lunch! Plan to spend a half-day, or this outing can be combined with the Farm School for a full day of fun!
Lake Fishing Outing
Take a charter boat out onto beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene. At the end of the trip, bring your fresh catch back to the Coeur d’Alene Resort where the culinary team at award-winning Beverly’s Restaurant will prepare it for you to enjoy!
Local Farm and Food Journeys
These customized trips are tasty excuses to get away! Just a short trip from town are orchards full of you-pick fruits and vegetables, coffee roasters, specialty chocolatiers and candymakers, even the Small Planet Tofu Farm. This trip can be created to your timeline, anywhere from 4-8 hours is optimal.
Dig It Day
Pick 1, 2 or 3 mines for your day. Silver and gold mine tours are among the most popular outings in our region. There is also the opportunity to do some hands-on mining for Star Garnets – India is the only other place in the world you can do this – and take up to five pounds of garnets home with you!
Hoofing It Day
Meet at the trailhead to Tubbs Hill for a nature walk along the stunning shores of Lake Coeur d’Alene. At the end of the walk, we will head out to one of two stables in the area for a horseback ride amidst the natural beauty of North Idaho. At the end of the day, wind down in the Spa at The Coeur d’Alene Resort with a wildflower or organic pedicure, or some foot reflexology, to pamper you tuckered tootsies! This outing is an optimal outing at about 4 hours.
